10 ADVENTUROUS DAYS

DAY 1 | ARUSHA | 1 NIGHT

Fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be met and privately transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge. Nestled in the lush foothills of Mount Meru, Arusha Coffee Lodge is a charming retreat set amidst a working coffee plantation.  You will have a pre-safari briefing this evening.

DAY 2-3 | TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK | 2 NIGHTS

The journey from Arusha to Tarangire is a little over two hours. Departing shortly after breakfast, you will reach Tarangire Ndovu Camp arriving in plenty of time to settle in and orientate before enjoying lunch. An afternoon game drive will take you through the park’s diverse landscapes, renowned for its large elephant populations and distinctive baobab trees. Guided by experienced trackers, you’ll have the opportunity to observe the resident wildlife in their natural habitat before returning to camp to spend your first night in the African wilderness.

Tarangire hosts a significant population of wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, and buffalo, along with predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs for you to discover over the coming days.

DAY 4 | NGORONGORO CRATER | 1 NIGHT

Departing Tarangire, your journey takes you to the captivating natural phenomenon of the Ngorongoro Crater. As you drive down onto the floor of the caldera its 265 square kilometres surround you. The crater is home to a thriving microcosm of birds and mammals, including the Big Five, hyena, cheetah, zebra and wildebeest. Your evening will be spent in the Ngorongoro Highlands, close to the Crater, in the Lemala Ngorongoro Camp (or similar).

DAY 5-6 | CENTRAL SERENGETI | 2 NIGHTS

From the capacious confines of the Ngorongoro, the expansive horizon greets you today as you descend onto the plains of the Serengeti.

Home to many of Africa’s endemic species, the Serengeti is globally renowned for its Great Migration, in which over two million wildebeest and other herbivores pursue the rains for greener pastures.

Depending on the time of year, you might be fortunate to view the undulating waves of wildebeest, zebra and antelope as they make their way across the plains, or you may mingle amongst the vast herds as they graze. The comfortable canvas tents of Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp await your two-night stay, maintaining a wonderful connection to the natural world as you gaze at the stars over dinner and fall asleep to the distant sounds of the bush.

DAY 7-9 | NORTHERN SERENGETI | 3 NIGHTS

Travelling further into the Serengeti, the final days of your Tanzania adventure allow you to explore the northern region on a series of game drives with frequent sightings of lion, leopard, elephant and plains ungulates.  Your accommodation in Kaskaz Mara Camp provides privacy and comfort in the bush, with plenty of camp conveniences without extricating you from the omnipresent wildness surrounding you.

Over your three-night stay, you can look forward to daily game drives that explore the region’s abundant wildlife, a picnic lunch in the bush to enjoy the surroundings at a relaxed pace, and sundowners that allow you to witness the changing colour of the landscape.  Late afternoon game drives also provide the chance to observe nocturnal activity as the park transitions from day to night, providing a different perspective on the ecosystem.

An optional (additional cost) balloon safari is also on offer during your time in the Serengeti.

DAY 10 | KILIMANJARO AIRPORT

Your safari culminates in a light aircraft transfer from the Serengeti to Kilimanjaro International Airport and your onward, departure flight.
