Arusha Coffee Lodge is situated within colourful gardens and on the picturesque Burka Coffee Estate – a working coffee plantation spanning 17 acres located on the edge of Arusha.
Arusha is the ’safari capital’ of Tanzania and the main entry and exit point for all safari goers travelling into reserves such as Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Highlands and the Serengeti. It is also the main hub for all charter flights coming in and out of these areas, and the more remote parks of Katavi and the Mahales Mountains, and Zanzibar and the coast.
The lodge offers 28 private chalets and suites, all built on raised wooden platforms with multi-level bedrooms, private lounges and balconies overlooking the Mt Meru or the plantation.
Meals are served at Redds African Grillhouse, with a menu that reflects an array of both traditional Tanzanian cuisine and other African specialities. Attached to the lodge is the new Traders Walk complex, including the Shanga glass boutique and workshops built to empower those with disabilities from the local community, a Tanzanite jeweller and safari boutique.
