Surrounded by monumental sandstone mountains and vast, open desert, Wadi Rum Bedouin Camp captures the spirit of Jordan’s most iconic wilderness. Life here moves at the pace of the desert, where the play of light across red sands and towering rock formations becomes part of the daily ritual. Built and run by local Bedouin families, the camp reflects generations of knowledge, storytelling and desert hospitality.
Accommodation is deliberately simple yet welcoming, with traditional tents designed to keep you comfortable as temperatures shift from day to night. Lantern light, woven textiles and earthy tones create a sense of place that feels deeply rooted in the landscape. As dusk settles, the desert cools and the stars emerge in breathtaking clarity, offering some of the finest night skies in the region.
Days are shaped by exploration and connection. Guided walks, jeep excursions and camel rides reveal hidden canyons, natural arches and ancient petroglyphs, while time spent with your hosts offers insight into Bedouin customs and desert survival. There is space for quiet reflection too, whether sipping sweet tea or simply watching the colours of the desert change.
Evenings centre on shared meals prepared over open fires, where fragrant rice, slow cooked meats and fresh flatbreads are enjoyed communally. Stories are exchanged, laughter carries across the sand, and the desert night feels wonderfully alive.
