With flourishing bamboo groves, rushing rivulets and striking rocky outcrops, Bandhavgarh is one of the prettiest forests in India, in addition to being one of the country’s strongest tiger habitats. The Untamed Bandhavgarh is an elegant tented camp which sits in the heart of the jungle, soaking up all the atmosphere of this magical setting.
With just a handful of luxurious tented suites, the camp is wonderfully quiet and exclusive. Each tent is beautifully styled with campaign style furniture and hand printed fabrics, and every one enjoys a private sit-out, en suite bathroom with running water and a personal butler service to cater to your every need. Thoughtful touches, such as Ayurvedic toiletries and bedroom slippers, underline careful attention to detail. Meals take place either in the elegant dining room, al fresco on the terrace, or out in the wilderness at any number of atmospheric pop up locations. Menus are multi-cuisine, but always feature plenty of fresh produce.
A range of activities includes game drives into the forest, walks through local villages and bike rides to take in a wider expanse of scenery. Heading out with specialist naturalist guide is always rewarding – alongside tigers, Bandhavgarh is full of deer, Sambhar, peacocks, monkeys, wild boar and several other animals.
