Cozy and sleek interiors at The Nest at Sossus

The Nest

Sossusvlei, Namibia

Extraordinary private villa

Tucked away in a lush pocket of the private Namib Tsaris Conservancy, The Nest at Sossus opens onto an oasis valley boasting natural waterfalls and pools in an otherwise desert landscape.

The design of The Nest was inspired by the unique structure of a sociable weaver nest and the result is one of Namibia’s most extraordinary private-use villas which comfortably accommodates a group of up to seven guests. Its art-led design incorporates biomimicry, sculptural architecture, and slick modern styling.

Open year-round and only a mere 30-minute drive from the gateway to the Sossusvlei and the Great Namib Sand Sea that was recently declared a World Heritage Site, the area is home to some of the largest concentrations of wildlife in the area including springbok, oryx, hartebeest, giraffe, Hartmann’s mountain zebra and Burchell’s zebra, along with predators such as hyena, cheetah and leopard.

Activities are centered around those which explore the surrounding area, though yoga can also be arranged at an additional cost should you not wish to leave the grounds of the property, and for stays of three nights or more you will receive a complimentary scenic helicopter transfer (weather permitting).

The Nest is a true desert oasis boasting magnificent natural surroundings, elegant design, and is in a prime spot for unforgettable game-viewing.
