More than just a spectator
As a mobile camp, Serengeti Safari Camp relocates seasonally across the Serengeti ecosystem to place guests at the prime location for viewing the vast wildebeest and zebra herds of the Great Migration. Not only does Serengeti Safari Camp offer one of the most rewarding migration experiences away from the crowds, it also enables access to some of the most remote regions of the Serengeti, far beyond the reach of any of the permanent safari lodges.
Serengeti Safari Camp has just six open-plan walk-in Meru tents, each with an ensuite bathroom at the rear. Eco-flush toilets, safari-style bucket showers, a wash basin with cold running water, and hot water delivered as and when you desire, create a superb level of comfort in this remote location. Rechargeable lights and traditional hurricane lamps are used within communal areas and private tents to illuminate the dark Serengeti nights.
The main dining tent provides a gathering area at the heart of the camp, with a firepit in front adding a perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks or nightcaps, and warmth in the early morning as you sip coffee and prepare for dawn game drives.
A small reference library of African books and a variety of games offer entertainment between activities, and Serengeti Safari Camp has been established to cater equally to guests of all ages and family groups. Candlelit dinners under the stars, a variety of bush breakfasts, sumptuous picnics and sundowners, and the highest concentration of ungulates and predators in Africa ensure that every day on safari is one that you’ll never forget.
