Tucked away beneath a cool forest canopy of wild palms and gnarled fig trees, with architecture inspired by the Okavango Delta’s notoriously secretive resident the Pangolin, &Beyond Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge is a stunning and truly unique property blending seamlessly with its organic surroundings.
Sandibe looks out onto the Delta through a maze of brilliant green papyrus. Situated on a private concession, Sandibe has exclusive traversing rights over 22500 hectares (55 600 acres) of wildlife land adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve.
The safari lodge consists of 8 luxurious guest suites with private plunge pools. Drawing inspiration directly from nature, the suites are elevated above their surroundings, gazing out onto the Delta. Uncluttered and elegant, the lodge features a copper palette, with natural rusty tones.
Tread in the footprints of elephants on ancient game paths that lead between the guest suites at this unfenced lodge. Hippo inhabit the deeper channels and lagoons, while honeybadgers can be seen in broad daylight. Tall termite mounds are homes for families of dwarf and banded mongoose. At Sandibe, guests enjoy game drives, guided nature walks and (at additional cost) scenic helicopter flights over the delta.
