Sun Boat IV

River Nile, Egypt

Gliding down the Nile

The Sanctuary Sun Boat IV is an exquisitely luxurious floating haven which sails between Luxor and Aswan over the course of four or eight days.

The boat is elegant and sleek with art‐deco inspired design, rich teak decking, harmonious colour palettes and spacious, modern interiors. The 36 cabins and 4 suites are spread over four decks affording plenty of privacy, and each enjoys full size furniture, an en‐suite bathroom and outward facing floor‐to‐ceiling windows from which to view the Nile (except on the Nile Deck). On the sun deck, teak is combined with Egyptian marble around the heated swimming pool and a shaded deck and a lounge bar offer the perfect spot to rest and relax. Additional facilities include a library, games room, gym and spa. In the restaurant, a team of chefs create exciting a la carte menus featuring both international cuisine and Egyptian dishes. In true colonial style, afternoon tea is served daily.

Accompanied by specialist Egyptologist guides, guests will explore the Valley of the Kings, the temples of Karnak and Khnum, ride on a felucca (traditional sail boat) around Elephantine Island, spot sacred crocodiles and learn about the Egypt of old as the beautiful scenery passes by. Folk shows, cooking classes, music evenings and lectures all take place onboard and private docking areas in Luxor and Aswan mean that the boat is not moored up alongside other vessels.

The Sun Boat IV is renowned as one of the finest boats on the River Nile and a journey aboard this fabulous vessel is a voyage through time with the added benefit of modern luxury.
