Pavillon de L'Emyrne

Antananarivo, Madagascar

A haven of peace in Tana city

Pavillon de l’Emyrne is a beautiful and charming 13 bedroom property in Antananarivo; located in the Isoraka area of Tana near some of the nicest restaurants and shops the capital has to offer. It has lovely views of the Royal hill as well as the plains below.

It was originally built as a private residence in the 1930s and is now a delightful city guest house with its own garden and courtyard. The old building with its high ceilings has been charmingly furnished with original Malagasy antiques in period style with pictures of Malagasy royalty adorning the walls.  Each of the 13 ensuite rooms are all individually decorated and tastefully combine modern decor with the older colonial bones of the building.

A delicious buffet breakfast is served out on the veranda so you can enjoy the city’s sights and sounds, and the hotel also has a library with a collection of over 200 books on Madagascar for you to browse through, along with a charming sitting room with local artworks and photos which trace the history of the country.

The staff are very friendly, attending to your every need to ensure a perfect stay and the hotel is one of the most attractive and elegant in Antananarivo with a location that is ideal for exploring the Isoraka area.
