Okavango Explorers Camp is an intimate safari retreat set in the southwest area of Botswana’s private Selinda Reserve, within the Okavango Delta. Its location at the convergence of the upper Okavango Delta and the Selinda Spillway offers unmatched access to some of the region’s highest wildlife concentrations.
Designed in the style of a 1920s safari campaign, the camp blends vintage charm with modern comforts. The six tented suites are set on raised wooden decks with canvas walls that integrate with the surrounding wilderness. Each suite is furnished with handcrafted campaign-style furniture, woven rugs, and vintage trunks, creating a nostalgic yet elegant atmosphere. En-suite bathrooms feature eco-friendly bucket showers and flush toilets, while private verandas offer a tranquil space to watch wildlife gather at the spillway.
Game drives offer prime opportunities to see lion, leopard and wild dogs, along with rare antelope such as sable and roan. Canoe safaris and guided walking tours provide full immersion into the wilderness and phenomenal birding. During the dry season, the area becomes home to over 9,000 elephants.
