Incomparable game viewing
Mwiba Tented Camp occupies a prime position atop an elevated ridge within the Mwiba Wildlife Reserve, a 126 000-acre private park that forms part of the southern Serengeti in Tanzania. The area is the scene of mass wildebeest calving during the beginning of the year, along with plenty of predator action.
Shaded by stands of acacia trees and surrounded by granite boulders, the camp enjoys undisturbed views of five naturally flowing springs and the wildlife drawn to them. The eight tented suites are spacious and airy with king sized beds and en suite bathrooms with oversized tubs. The walls can be opened during the day to allow for game viewing and birding from the comfort of your bed and each enjoys a private verandah. A swimming pool provides cool refreshment on warm afternoons and guests will also be able to enjoy all the facilities at nearby Mwiba Lodge, including the spa.
Activities focus on the fantastic game viewing in the area and each tent has its own dedicated safari guide and game-viewing vehicle to ensure absolute priority is given to individuals’ interests. Guided walking safaris are also available and offer a whole new perspective as you take in the smells, sounds and intricate details of the bush with your senses heightened. For those interested the local people and their way of life cultural tours can be arranged and guests will enjoy a variety of surprises through their stay including private bush dining experiences, night drives and sundowners in breathtakingly beautiful spots.
