Designed by Joanna Cooke, who was also responsible for the award-winning Lamai Serengeti, the stylish and contemporary Mkombe’s House sits majestically around the rocks of Kogakuria Kopje. Available for exclusive use and completely self contained, it is perfectly designed for families and groups and makes for a spectacular safari to share with friends.
The house can sleep a total of 4 adults and 6 children comfortably in two en-suite double/twin rooms, each with an en-suite children’s room. The private dining room and lounge provide social areas while the outside chill-out areas, plunge pool and larger swimming pool, all with magnificent views across the Northern Serengeti, invite you to relax and unwind. There is no minimum age and cots, high chairs and car seats are provided. Each day, meals are planned with the in-house chef, allowing for ultimate flexibility and plenty of choice from a menu focusing on fresh produce and home-baking.
Set in the heart of one of the Serengeti’s richest mammal habitats, the game in the area is diverse and plentiful. Game drives with your private guide will ensure you enjoy some spectacular encounters whilst walking in the bush (children over 12 years only) gives a totally different perspective. Children will always enjoy clambering on the rocks hunting for lizards and hyraxes while their parents relax with a sundowner or two.
