Madikwe Safari Lodge is situated north west of Johannesburg in one of South Africa’s largest and malaria-free sanctuaries, Madikwe Game Reserve. The area is well known for providing the best game viewing within the reserve, as well as having the lowest concentration of safari vehicles which makes for a superior game viewing experience.
Intimate accommodation, in three small safari camps, offers sweeping views over the game-filled plains with the Dwarsberg range forming a purple-hued backdrop. Each suite is private and spacious, equipped with their own private plunge pool, large viewing deck, fireplace, lounge area and stunning vistas. Enjoy bush breakfasts, boma dinners and sundowner drinks and canapés during your stay.
Morning and evening game drives take place in open safari vehicles and you can also enjoy bush walks, bird watching, astronomy and a visit to a local village. There is excellent ‘Big Five’ game viewing as well as the opportunity to see cheetah, wild dog, brown and spotted hyena. Bird watching is outstanding with over 350 bird species frequenting the area.
