Linyanti Expeditions exudes a bygone era and is ideal for safari goers looking for an authentic African experience. The camp is situated in a private concession, bordering the Chobe National Park in an area teeming with exceptional year‐round game from large herds of elephant, buffalo, giraffe and zebra, to the iconic predators that follow them.
In the evenings guests are welcomed to the main tent for sundowners and dinner beside a warm, open fire and during the day, activities are centered around game drives, being poled on a traditional ‘mokoro’ or motorboat, and guided nature walks where guests can experience the rawness of the African bush, all in the company of exceptional local guides that have grown up with the bush at their back door and have come to know its wildlife exceptionally well.
In true expeditionary form, Linyanti Expeditions is comprised of only 6 luxury tents accommodating a maximum of 12 people. They are simple and classic in design, yet, beautifully appointed complete with copper furnishings, flush‐loos and traditional bucket‐showers.
Though what is sure to be a true highlight of your stay is the one‐of‐a‐kind adventure that awaits you from your room’s gazebo‐style extension where beds can be moved to at night to allow for a completely immersive sleep‐out experience. Sleep under the stars with the sounds of wild dogs yipping, hyenas whooping or a lion’s gruff in the distance all while still staying in the security of your mesh‐enclosed ‘star suite’.
