Linkwasha Camp

Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe

Luxurious but authentic

Hwange National Park is the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe at 14,500 km². Located on the border with Botswana, it was proclaimed some 75 years ago and has served as a haven for one of the densest concentrations of game in Africa ever since. In particular, its great herds of Cape buffalo, elephant (nearly 30 000) and white rhinos are a sight to see.

Linkwasha Camp lies in the south east of Hwange National Park, in one of its best game viewing areas, overlooking a vibrant waterhole. The camp’s nine luxurious tents (eight twin and one family tent) have beautiful reaching views, spacious decks and en-suite facilities, with both indoor and outdoor showers. There’s also a sleepout option for adventurous types! The main areas include a dining room, lounge, pool & open fire area for convivial evening fireside tales, plus a hide which provides some breathtaking wildlife encounters.

Activities at Linkwasha Camp centre on open 4×4 game drives and guided nature walks. The area’s large number of permanent waterholes attracts game in both quantity and variety, especially in the winter months when conditions become dry and Hwange becomes home to a Noah’s Ark of animals. This is one of the best areas for seeing impressive predators such as lion, leopard, wild dog & cheetah.

The open and airy design of Linkwasha allows the sounds of nature to drift in, immersing you in the surrounding bush and providing perfect sightlines for armchair wildlife watching.
