The first lodge of its kind in Ethiopia, Limalimo is luxurious, design led and sustainable – causing minimal environmental impact to the surrounding national park.
Architecturally masterminded in clean lines and polished concrete, it perches on the edge of an escarpment in the Simien Mountains National Park with simply stunning views. Rooms are minimal but stylish and the communal areas focus around roaring log fires, glasses of Rift Valley red and cosy sofas. Breakfast on the terrace above the clouds is a real highlight.
Activities are appropriately centered around those that allow you to enjoy the splendor of the Simiens, such as whilst trekking across the high plateaus, up its peaks or along the riverbeds of the lowlands whilst taking in the flora, fauna and many birds of the mountains, all the way through to visits to a local village.
