Kibale Lodge is a boutique retreat set on a ridge overlooking Uganda’s breathtaking Rwenzori Mountains, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and the Kazinga Channel. Located near the renowned Kibale National Park—home to the world’s highest density of primates—this lodge is the perfect base for exploring Uganda’s rich biodiversity.
The lodge features eight handcrafted bandas, blending traditional design with modern comforts. Six deluxe bandas and two standard bandas have been thoughtfully created by local artisans, incorporating natural materials and showcasing Ugandan craftsmanship. Each banda offers a private veranda with sweeping views, while the main lodge houses a stylish lounge and dining area. A spa, sauna, and swimming pool provide a tranquil space to unwind after a day of adventure. Locally inspired cuisine, including traditional dishes such as Filinda, a creamy bean soup, completes the experience.
Kibale Lodge offers an unparalleled opportunity for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park, with the rare opportunity to join a full-day habituation experience. You can also participate in the lodge’s Tree Nursery and Reforestation Project, head out on birding expeditions, or walk through the Bigodi wetland, home over 200 bird species and 8 primate species including the black and white colobus monkey, blue monkey and the L’Hoest monkey.
