Khwai Lediba

Okavango Delta - Botswana

Ancestral tribal lands

Khwai Lediba sits in the northeastern Okavango Delta, nestled within the private Khwai Community Concession that borders the Moremi Game Reserve – the oldest protected section of the Okavango Delta. Unlike a National Park, the Moremi Game Reserve was founded by the BaTwana tribal authorities, making it the first wildlife sanctuary established by an African tribe on their ancestral land. It’s one of the most pristine reserves in Africa and it teems with wildlife.

The lodge offers six luxury tented suites, one luxury family tented suite, and one luxury honeymoon tented suite – each with a private viewing deck for optimal views of the African bush. The interiors elegantly reflect the lush greens and rich golds of the surrounding landscape, blending beautifully with nature. The deck and pool area offer a serene spot to bask in the sun while taking in the unique sights and sounds of the bush, while the lounge, reading area and firepit provide inviting spaces for reading or socializing.

The Moremi Game Reserve is an intricate landscape of floodplains, lagoons, grasslands and forests, all of which can be discovered on remarkable game drives, walking safaris and night drives. Gliding through the tranquil waters of the Khwai River on traditional mokoro safaris, expertly guided by local polers, is an experience not to be missed as this silent mode of travel brings you breathtakingly close to the waterways’ shy creatures and exceptional birdlife.

At Khwai Lediba you can relax in comfort whilst taking in magnificent landscapes and searching for astonishing wildlife. This is a timeless safari that is elevated and exclusive, yet grounded in nature.
