Hemingways Eden is a trendy boutique hotel on the outskirts of Nairobi. Located in the peaceful suburb of Langata, bordering the giraffe sanctuary, this beautiful little gem will provide an ideal location to rest and relax in tranquil surroundings.
The location itself is unique with warthogs, parrots, peacocks and monkeys freely coming and going through the garden of a suburban location. Often lions and hyenas can be heard from the proximity of Nairobi National Park ‐ this is the only major city in the world to share spaces with wildlife.
The property itself was once the private family home of renowned artists Tonio and Anna Trzebinski, and it is every bit as chic as one would expect. With just nine bedrooms ‐ three in the main house and five in the studio annex ‐ it is quiet and exclusive, and retains all the relaxed comfort of a luxurious private retreat. The décor throughout is rustic but effortlessly stylish with chunky timbers, elegant textiles and oversized statement art pieces. No detail is forgotten — even the lampshade are hand‐beaded!
All this combines with delicious food and wine, first class hospitality and boutique designer shops on site, as well as easy access to the numerous restaurants, museums and galleries on its doorstep.
