Estancia Nibepo Aike is located inside Los Glaciares National Park, on the banks of the Southern Arm of Lago Argentino, approximately one ½ hours from El Calafate.
Retaining the essence of the original Patagonian estancias, this simple but comfortable 10-room estancia offers you the opportunity to immerse in the real Patagonia! Guestrooms are decorated with rustic-style furniture and parquet floors. There is a communal lounge and reading room with fireplace and a quincho (dining room for the barbeques).
Originally established as a sheep station, the estancia now holds a small flock of sheep, with their main focus on cattle. During your stay you can join in on the rural work in the corrals (cattle branding, dressage, milking), cattle herding and sheep shearing, participating in the authentic rural life. Different paths on the estancia allow you to explore the corners of the farm and discover its flora and fauna. The valley of the Cachorro River, the shores of the Argentino Lake, the border milestone with Chile and the Cerro Cristal hillside are some of the places where guests can go on foot, on horseback or by bike. Panoramic points show the Perito Moreno Glacier and the Hidden Glaciers, the southernmost ones of the National Park.
