Gaucho farm stay
Estancia Huechahue is a working cattle ranch in Argentine Patagonia near San Martin de los Andes, on a land space of 15,000 acres supporting a 900 head of Hereford Cattle.
During your stay discover life as a gaucho and spend days riding out through the vast Patagonian landscape of huge open plains and flat topped hills, following rivers and streams that twist through rocky canyons.
Appreciate the local wildlife – the condors soaring above, the red deer, or the guanacos grazing on the plains, or perhaps armadillo scuttling between the rocks. Help the gauchos round up cattle, or elect to fish, swim or raft down the river and simply relax.
Sleep in one of three wooden cabins with eight simply but comfortable ensuite bedrooms. Huddle around the wood fire in the communal sitting area in each cabin or on the veranda which looks out to the orchards. There are also four double bedrooms in the main house and another six in a pair of nearby chalets.
