The amazing river Traful which runs for ten miles through the unspoilt beauty of Arroyo Verde is home to land-locked salmon, brown and rainbow trout. The surrounding Andes Mountains make for breathtaking horse riding and hiking excursions. What makes Arroyo Verde so special is that it is still home for the Larivière family who take an active part in preserving this unique establishment and maintaining its high standards of hospitality.
Estancia Arroyo Verde is perhaps the most beautiful estancia in southern Argentina, in one of the world’s unique places. The countryside is absolutely captivating and the ranch is embedded in an enchanted valley of wind-and-water sculpted rock spires, minarets, and chimneys, with the scenic Traful River flowing through it.
The main house is lovely, elegantly appointed, and very comfortable, with open views of the Patagonian countryside and its manicured gardens. There is also a heavenly guest cabin perched on a cliff with one of the most wonderfully imaginable views.
