Queensland Rainforest Retreat
Daintree Ecolodge is situated in the heart of the ancient Daintree Rainforest and is the only boutique accommodation in this remarkable World-Heritage rainforest, thought to be over 165 million years old.
The retreat offers 15 eco-friendly and stylish rooms in three categories: ‘Lagoon Bayans’ situated high in the rainforest canopy with views out to the onsite lagoon; ‘Canopy Bayans’ also set in the canopy but with rainforest views; and ‘Rainforest Bayans’ which sit at ground level offering complete privacy and seclusion. All embrace the rainforest surrounds with an open plan setting and micro-screened balconies to ensure you feel as close to nature as possible whilst still being able to enjoy the comforts of a boutique hotel.
During your stay wake up to the sound of the birds in the canopy above, take a leisurely walk through the forest to the lodges’ private and pristine waterfall, practice yoga, indulge in a spa treatment or venture further afield to Mossman Gorge, Cape Tribulation or out onto the Great Barrier Reef. Dine on seasonal produce sourced from the onsite vegetable garden and the surrounding region of Port Douglas, prepared by expert chefs.
