Built as a private retreat for Zambia’s second president, Chichele Presidential Lodge is steeped in history and grandeur. Today, it offers travellers an exclusive hilltop stay within the renowned South Luangwa National Park. Each of the ten suites is fully air-conditioned and appointed with elegant four-poster beds, high ceilings, and French windows that open onto private terraces with uninterrupted views of the Luangwa Valley. Days at Chichele begin with early morning game drives or guided walking safaris led by seasoned naturalists. South Luangwa is famous for its high density of wildlife, including large herds of elephant and buffalo, prides of lion, and elusive leopard.
