The Baraza Resort & Spa is located just 50 minutes from Stone Town on the pristine Bwejuu beach, which was recently named as one of the top 30 island beaches in the world by Conde Nast Traveler magazine. Its is undoubtedly one of Zanzibar’s most exclusive boutique resorts.
With just 30 villas, this stunning fully inclusive resort is peaceful and exclusive. Each villa features an oversized bed, beautiful fabrics and hand carved furniture a swell as a large bathroom, a spacious terrace and a private plunge pool. The design throughout the hotel evokes the heritage of Zanzibar dating back to the era of the Sultans with a fusion of Arabic and African design featuring Swahili arches, intricate hand carved décor, beautiful antiques, handmade furniture and intricate brass lanterns.
Facilities include a lap pool with underwater music, indoor and outdoor relaxation rooms, a glamorous spa, a yoga studio, fitness centre and tennis court. There are several bar and dining options with menus inspired by Arabic, Indian, Persian, Asian and Swahili cuisines, using the local spices for which the island is famous.
