Set within Uganda‘s breathtaking Murchison Falls National Park, Anyadwe House is a secluded, contemporary retreat perched on the banks of the majestic Nile. This exclusive villa-style property combines modern elegance with the rugged charm of the African wilderness. The sleek, open-plan interiors are designed to maximise natural light and frame the sweeping river views, while the outdoor spaces—including a private plunge pool and expansive terrace—allow you to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the wild.
The house consists of four luxurious en-suite double or twin bedrooms with individual balconies and a spacious ground-floor lounge, indoor and outdoor dining, bar and upper-level lounge that opens onto a magnificent vista. The Villa can be booked for exclusive use, or the two rooms in each ‘wing’ of the Villa can be booked separately, with the central area of the Villa being a shared space (much as you would share the lounge and dining area in a larger lodge). Whilst the Villa is fully staffed and catering services are provided, there is a kitchen where you can create your own culinary dishes, midnight snacks or personalised cocktails, if you wish. Direct river access via its private jetty completes the exclusiveness of this unique and stylish villa.
Enjoy a daily cruise into the stunning Fajao Gorge – the deep, narrow chasm through which the Nile surges, creating the spectacular Murchison Falls. The gorge’s rugged cliffs and steep rock faces frame the churning waters below, making it a striking geological feature in the park. The area around the gorge is rich in biodiversity, offering incredible views and abundant wildlife, including hippos, and crocodiles, along with rare wetland birds including shoebill and papyrus endemic species. Morning cruises offer a visual spectacle of mist rising off the mirror calm water as you navigate the papyrus channels of the delta. Game drives through the park also reveal Uganda’s diverse wildlife, from lions and giraffes to leopard and buffalo.
After a day of adventure, you can unwind with gourmet meals prepared by a private chef and enjoy stargazing under the vast African sky. Optional activities include fishing excursions on the Nile, visiting the nearby Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, chimpanzee tracking in the Budongo Forest (45mins from your Villa), birding walks and guided nature walks, ensuring your stay is as active or as relaxed as you desire.
