The latest property in the Lemala portfolio, Osonjoi—so named for the trees prevalent in the region—combines contemporary chic with traditional nuances, natural materials and a setting that immerses one in the wild. Located in the East Ngorongoro Conservation Area, it has direct access to far less frequented regions of the reserve, its proximity allowing game drives to reach the caldera plains barely after sunrise.
Osonjoi’s 20 suites are heralded as the most spacious of the region, each boasting an oversized bed, large picture windows, fully-appointed ensuite plus an additional outdoor shower and cosy woodburning stove for. Four suites can be adjoined, providing ample and impeccable space for families.
Adventure abounds at Osonjoi, game drives taking in the prolific wildlife of this remote corner of the immense caldera. Its location allows for early morning and late afternoon game drives, these cooler times witnessing increased wildlife activity and superb light for photographers. Guided walks are also available, joined by an armed ranger and Maasai guide and exploring the surrounding forests and crater rim.
