Roca River Camp is a family-run classic tented camp that perfectly blends simple luxury with an authentic safari experience. Ideally located right on the Mara River in the southern Musiara area, the camp offers convenient access to both the Mara Triangle and the greater Mara Reserve, where wildlife abounds and the safari experience is world famous.
The camp has been designed in the spirit of the original safari days with the aim of reconnecting you with nature and the environment around you, surrounded by bird calls and animal sounds. It offers ten spacious ensuite tents with flush loos, hot showers on request and 24 hour solar power, plus such necessary luxuries as white linen, woven carpets and hand-made furniture. Configurations are flexible and a fantastic family room can easily be created, capable of sleeping up to five guests in two en-suite rooms. The entire camp is available on both an exclusive and non-exclusive basis.
During your stay you will be looked after by the camp’s owners, Ross and Caro Withey, who are not only personally invested in your stay, but also fabulous hosts with a warm good humour and plenty of stories to tell! Activities are tailored to your preferences and include game drives, pop-up bush dining, hot air ballooning, bush walks, spa treatments and cultural visits to a nearby manyatta or Maasai market. A kids programme will keep young safari-goers entertained with games and cultural activities.
