In a stately colonial building overlooking Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront, this boutique hotel evokes the romance of Queen Victoria’s early years with Prince Albert. But the style is anything but 19th‐century, with spacious rooms, marble bathrooms and a soaring lobby in whites and creams warmed by royal purples and opulent fabrics. All the rooms have been individually designed and decorated, most of them with panoramic views of either Table Mountain or Cape Town Harbour.
