Azura Benguerra is situated on an unspoilt island within the Bazaruto Archipelago. The island is a marine national park with deserted beaches of pure white sand that extend for miles across sparkling turquoise seas crisscrossed by local dhows plying their trade.

With the Indian Ocean on your doorstep, many of the activities and experiences are focused around it. You can snorkel or scuba dive, saltwater fly fish or big game fish, watch the sunset as you sail on a dhow, picnic in splendid isolation, or cruise to deserted beaches. Gaze at the dolphins, often spotted from the boats, or track down humpback whales on their seasonal migration past the shores. The offshore reefs are some of the most pristine on the coast of East Africa, and a joy to behold, with a plethora of marine life and amazing coral gardens.
Benguerra Island also offers a range of activities and experiences for you to enjoy, including visits to the local community and the school. You can climb the dunes, some of which are scattered with the remnants of ancient Arab pottery, for an amazing view of the archipelago.
