Lebala Camp

Linyanti Reserve, Botswana

Wide open spaces

Lebala means ‘wide open spaces’ in Setswana and the scenery is dominated by vast plains with scattered palms and tree islands backed by wooded savannahs. This wild expanse contrasts with the casual understated bush-luxury style of the camp itself.

The camp is comprised of eight custom designed tents, with unique mosquito net walls, allowing an unobstructed flow of cooling breezes and stunning views. Each tent at Lebala is built on a raised teak deck, laid out with comfort and privacy in mind. The tents have an entrance foyer, en suite bathrooms with Victorian clawfoot bathtubs, “his and hers” washbasins and flush toilets. The bathrooms lead out to a reed enclosed open-air shower with hot and cold running water.  The endless vistas from the large windows and decks across the vast plains, make Lebala one of the finest wilderness camps in Africa.   The cuisine at Kwando is superb and caters for various appetites.  The camp also has a pool.

Lebala has built its reputation on action packed game viewing, with dedicated tracking and tremendous guiding. Excellent general game abounds on the broad plains creating spectacular scenery, adorned with herds of plains game and the ever-attendant predators. Lebala offers regular and reliable sightings of elephant, lion, wild dog, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, tsessebe, kudu, lechwe, impala, wildebeest and waterbuck.
