Bwindi Lodge

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda

Primate eco lodge

Overlooking the primeval Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge offers a unique jungle experience. Separated by nothing more than an idyllic stream, the gorillas themselves are frequent visitors to the lodge!

The lodge boasts eight bandas facing the forest canopy, each with a private terrace from which you can spot wildlife, including chimpanzees, mountain gorillas, and monkeys jumping from tree to tree mere metres away. Each room has an en-suite bathroom and all the eco-comforts you require.

A cozy fireside bar and lounge in the main building offers the chance for you to relax while sharing stories of your gorilla tracking experience with other guests. Wi-fi is also available in the main lodge building so you can share your experiences with friends and family around the world.

Aside from gorilla trekking in Bwindi’s impenetrable forest the lodge also offers the opportunity to undertake a forest walk, waterfall walk, community walk or a self-guided river walk. You may wish to visit the nearby Bwindi Community Hospital or Women’s Project, or visit the local Batwa community – the indigenous tribe of Bwindi Forest.
