Relais des Plateaux Hotel is set in a peaceful garden within the city of Antananarivo and close to the airport. The hotel wraps around an inner garden in a simple motel style and all rooms have views of the lush garden with Jacaranda trees and delicate palms creating a serene haven from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The guest rooms are simple and comfortable, decorated with furniture created by a Malagasy craftsmen and built from local rosewood. All rooms are ensuite with a full en-suite bathroom and a small lounge area complete with an armchair, coffee table, writing desk and heating/cooling unit. Floor to ceiling windows flood the rooms with natural light and provide expansive views.
Relais de Plateaux is renowned for its restaurant, serving both excellent French and international cuisine; and room service is also on offer. The large, heated outdoor swimming pool is surrounded by sun loungers, perfect for relaxing after a long flight or in preparation for departure from the island. There is also a selection of games for adults and children, and a jungle gym for kids.
The onsite bar is a friendly meeting place where generous cocktails are served by a friendly bartender and the hotel’s boutique boasts and excellent range of Malagasy arts and crafts.
