A civilised, characterful and luxurious new boutique guest house, Karen Gables is quietly situated in one of Nairobi’s best neighbourhoods, Karen. This is a leafy and affluent suburb which sits to the South West of Nairobi towards the foot of the Ngong Hills. Karen still remains largely unspoilt by over-development or traffic jams and is an attractive and peaceful place to stay away from the city centre.
Karen Gables offers charming, private and spacious accommodation with only seven en-suite rooms and a heated pool situated amongst 1.5 acres of tropical garden with river frontage. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the food is excellent.
Other activities close to the guest house include the famous Daphne Sheldrick elephant orphanage, the Giraffe Centre and Karen Blixen’s farmhouse amongst lots of wonderful places to shop and eat.
