Ndovu Camp

Tarangire National Park, Tanzania

Exploratory & comfortable

Nasikia Tarangire Ndovu Camp is located in the heart of Tarangire, known for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobabs. It is one of the lesser-visited areas of Tanzania, and is all the more special as a result.

The camp is not permanent, but instead built each year between the months of June and October, when huge elephant herds travel through the area. Due its temporary nature, the camp is simple in style but guests never compromise on comfort. Tents measure 12m x 4m, are made from elegant canvas, solar lit and fully furnished with beds, wardrobes, desks and travelling trunks. Bathroom facilities are en suite and feature traditional bucket showers, ceramic toilets and running water. Even robes and slippers are provided! Dining takes place in the lantern-lit mess tent while a roaring camp fire brings people together each evening.

Activities focus around wildlife and twice daily game drives with experienced guides will provide some spectacular encounters. A guided walking safari will heighten your senses and deepen your understanding of the ecosystem whilst forming a relationship with your guide and beginning to understand his or her culture completes the experience.

A stay at Tarangire Ndovu Camp gives a real sense of the early pioneer days – glamorous and comfortable yet exploratory and wild. The very essence of safari!
