Head out boating in the unspoiled Liwonde National Park at Kuthengo Camp

Kuthengo Camp

Liwonde National Park, Malawi

Intimate and unexpected

Comfortably nestled among fever trees and baobabs, Kuthengo Camp overlooks a floodplain of the Shire River, in a remote area of the unspoiled Liwonde National Park.

With just four widely spaced tents Kuthengo Camp is private and quiet so it’s likely you won’t see another soul and it will feel as though you have the whole park to yourself. This feeling of remoteness can be best enjoyed from your tent’s private deck where you may spot waterbuck, elephant and hippo that frequent the plains area in front of camp.

Activities include day and night game drives in open top vehicles, walking safaris and boating, and time spent in a purpose-built hide produces excellent rhino sightings.

The word Kuthengo means ‘wilderness’ in the local language and mirrors perfectly the unspoiled surroundings providing the ultimate retreat for your stay.
