Rustic meals beside a former homestead at Loldia House

Loldia House

Lake Naivasha, Kenya

Lush Lakeside historic House

At Loldia House you will experience the life of Kenya’s earliest settlers on one of the country’s oldest farms. Guests can explore the farm’s 8,000 acres, amongst the herds of wild antelope and zebra, and tour the beautifully tended gardens that reach right to the edge of Lake Naivasha. At the end of the day you are welcomed to dinner under the spreading fig trees or in the original dining room.

The property is located on the shores of Lake Naivasha in the heart of the magical Great Rift Valley. Guest accommodation is either in the main house or in cottages around the garden. All rooms have stunning views of Lake Naivasha and the cottage rooms are ideal for honeymooners.

There is much to do during your stay. Aside from boat trips on Lake Naivasha and to Crescent Island, the property is ideally situated for trips to the nearby flamingo lakes Nakuru and Elementaita. Game viewing in nearby Lake Nakuru National Park, also home to a healthy rhino population, is much recommended. Walks on the farm with the resident naturalist, game drives on the ranch, visits to Loldia School, birdwatching, night drives, golf, tennis and guided walks up the dormant volcano Mount Longonot and Hell’s Gate Canyon, are also on offer.
