DumaTau

Linyanti Reserve, Botswana

Luxury in the Linyanti

North-east of the Okavango Delta lies the Linyanti – enormously rich in wildlife with an unrivalled atmosphere of remoteness and space. It is comprised of mopane woodland, riparian forests and floodplains. It is also bisected by an ancient watercourse, the now flowing Savute Channel, providing a year-round water source. The area is famed for herds of elephant that reach the world’s highest densities in the dry winter months. All other species are abundant; the Linyanti also plays host to a population of cheetah and Painted Hunting Dog.

DumaTau Camp has an exquisite site on the banks of the Linyanti River’s Osprey Lagoon. It is located close to the source of the Savute Channel in the western part of the Linyanti, between two elephant corridors, thus offering an exclusive combination of land and river experiences. The classic camp’s ten ensuite tented units (8 twin and two family) are raised off the ground to overlook the lagoon.

The architecture evokes the age of the explorers along with a sense of space, and the wrap-around windows provide dramatic views of the river. The activities on offer allow you to view game by day and night. Short nature walks and while boating along the serene waters of the Linyanti River (water levels permitting) are also on offer, ensuring a well-rounded game viewing experience.
