Aman-i-Khás is a wilderness camp located in a rugged brushwood forest on the fringes of Ranthambore National Park. If you want to stay in the very best, then this is the place for you! The 10 luxury tents are identical in traditional Mughal style, set on raised concrete plinths and are complete with air conditioning.
Each soaring six-metre canopy has draped cotton partitions which create a separate bathroom, lounge, dining and sleeping area. Your personal batman (butler) is on hand to assist with anything you need – from a refreshing gin & tonic to making a reservation for you in the spa.
There are three separate tents for dining, spa treatments and relaxing. The dining tent serves traditional Rajasthani cuisine, inspired by the royal kitchens of the Mughal emperors, along with continental dishes created using home grown vegetables and herbs from the camp’s organic garden. Dinner often concludes around the outdoor fireplace which overlooks the Aravilli Hills. The Lounge Tent is for relaxing, listening to music or reading about the history and culture of Rajasthan, whilst the Spa Tent offers rejuvenating spa treatments.
The camp’s focal point is the outdoor fireplace, an ideal meeting place before or after wildlife safaris into the park, or for star-gazing with a nightcap after dinner. Surrounded by trees, the step-well is a good spot for bird watching.
