Mahua Kothi Jungle Lodge is named after one of India’s most beautiful trees. It is located nearby one of India’s most breathtaking reserves amongst 40 acres of bush. The charming lodge with its eclectic handicrafts and original homestead furniture blends in perfectly with the environment to ensure an authentic jungle experience.
The lodge has 12 spacious and luxurious kutiyas (jungle suites) scattered around the vast grounds each accessed through private courtyards with shaded seating and traditional mud floors. Interiors are beautifully decorated with lime walls and rust and burnt orange furnishings, stone floors and handmade pottery roof tiles. The wonderful en-suite bathrooms have lovely hand-blended, all-natural toiletries.
After the final game drive of the day enjoy a refreshing sundowner in a big comfy chair with a view. Dining here is an absolute delight with scrumptious breakfasts served on a bullock cart, enchanting picnic lunches under the mahua tree and delicious dinners on the rooftop under the stunning night skies.
When you’re not out game viewing or on a guided nature walk, explore the natural forest and grounds on bicycles, browse the safari shop, while away the hours in the library, have a wonderful Ayurvedic massage in your kutiya or beat the midday sun in the swimming pool.
