Estancia Los Potreros is an exclusive 6,500-acre working cattle farm, delightfully secluded at the top of the Sierras Chicas in the heart of the beautiful region of Córdoba.
The land has been farmed by the Begg family for four generations, and today Kevin and Louisa Begg delight in welcoming guests to share their home and lifestyle. Accommodation on the farm is simple and traditional, but providing guests with all the creature comforts. Rooms are individual and tastefully furnished in keeping with the history and style of the estancia, and have their own private bathroom. Antiques and books abound, and crisp winter nights are warmed by wood-burning stoves and open log fires, whilst the adobe construction keeps the rooms delightfully cool in the summer. Meals are European in style, varied and delicious, with plenty of excursions into local favourites including the traditional Argentine ‘asado’ or barbeque.
Every day at the estancia is different, and guests are encouraged to watch or participate in the daily activities of the farm. For the riders amongst you, canter along grassy hilltops, take a dip in natural rock pools or help the gauchos round up young horses. Out of the saddle, the cattle and horse trails make for wonderful walking and trekking, taking you to hidden rock pools and awe-inspiring viewpoints.
