The sweeping plains of the Serengeti represent some of Africa’s most iconic and evocative landscapes. The area forms part of the famous migratory route which is travelled by hundreds of thousands of animals every year and located in these rolling grasslands is Singita Sabora Tented Camp, which has captivated guests for more than a decade with its inimitable setting at eye-level with grazing herds of wildlife.
Embracing its incomparable location, Sabora Tented Camp offers the ideal environment for travellers yearning for wide-open spaces, privacy and stillness. Singita’s signature levels of comfort are the cornerstones of the experience, and you have the freedom to enjoy unfiltered time and space, while being transformed by the Grumeti’s vast untouched wilderness.
The camp’s nine tented suites embody the essence of simplicity. They are a restorative sanctuary under canvas that strikes the perfect balance between classic safari adventures and timeless modernity. Private meditation decks and secluded outdoor salas with daybeds invite complete unwinding, while the seamless flow between spacious in– and outdoor living areas continuously connects you with the soothing sights and sounds of the bush.
Professionally guided activities include game drives in open vehicles, walks, night drives, and visits to the local community. You will also have the opportunity to visit one of twelve observation posts (OP) dotted across the reserve. Each OP is manned by two scouts who are constantly surveying the area for any unusual activity, be that poaching, unauthorised grazing or any other wildlife-related issue. This is a unique opportunity made possible by the Singita Grumeti Fund anti-poaching team.
