Awasi Patagonia is situated inside a private reserve neighbouring the Torres del Paine National Park – considered to be one of the most emblematic sites of Chilean Patagonia. It dazzles you with its magnificent scenery of jagged mountains and glacial lakes with ever-changing turquoise hues. From the lodge you can enjoy spectacular views of the Torres del Paine peaks and Lake Sarmiento.
Opened on the former campground of adventurer Florence Dixie, who pitched her tent beneath the iconic peaks in 1878, the hotel is spread out like a classic estancia, with the stylish restaurant and guest lounge just a 5-minute stroll or a short golf-buggy ride from the furthest-flung villa. The 12 luxury villas are inspired by old Patagonian shelters and ranching outposts and inside the rooms create a cosy, mountainous atmosphere with comfortable living spaces and wood fires. The villas are distributed along the ridge to ensure privacy and optimise the views of the forest, Lake Sarmiento, the pampas and Torres del Paine.
The main lodge overlooks the majestic scenery and the comfortable lounges are a wonderful spot to sit back and relax. Experience the delights of the menu designed by the head chef to feature Patagonian gastronomy prepared with the culinary techniques of Europe.
A private guide and vehicle are assigned to each villa and your activities are planned according to your pace and preferences, special interests and wishes for your stay. Activities on offer include biking, horse riding, trail walking, hiking, mountain biking, bicycle riding and archaeological visits to a nearby paleontological site. You are also welcome to tour the private reserve from your villa and explore the different paths, observing the native flora and fauna.
