Located in the prestigious north-east quarter of Jodhpur’s old walled city, at the base of the majestic 15th century Mehrangarh Fort, lies Raas, a boutique luxury hotel with spectacular views of the fort.
The hotel is a combination of old and new with four beautifully restored, red sandstone buildings juxtaposed with slick modern structures. The rooms and suites are cleverly designed with Indian touches – black Terrazzo floors, pink-latticed screens, hand-cut wall panels and bathtubs set in creamy stone and each room has its own private balcony.
After a long day sightseeing enjoy sundowners in the central courtyard with magnificent views of the fort and dinner in either of the two restaurants. Dining on the terrace at Darikhana Restaurant is highly recommended. The hotel also has an inviting swimming pool flanked by curtain-draped cabanas and several cushioned nooks to snooze, read and relax, small spa and early morning yoga.
The hotel is seconds away from the vibrant markets but secluded enough to feel completely at peace. Raas is the only luxury boutique hotel within the walled-city and embodies class and understated elegance.
